Although we don't get together as often as we like at our cabin, it is a real treat to meet the Children and Grandchildren there on a weekend. It is in the little town of Pine, Arizona, which is about midway between our home and the Valley of the Sun where a number of our children live. It is a two hour drive for each of us, and we hope to be using it more now that (hopefully), our lives have settled a little.
Pine is one of those little hideaway towns where everyone wants to own a cabin to escape the heat of the desert. In fact, I suppose there are about as many Realtors in Pine, and the surrounding towns of Payson and Strawberry as there are residents.
Thought I'd throw a picture of our little cabin on to help you understand why we enjoy being there so much. It's small, as compared with the beautiful homes surrounding it, but we figured we'd build what we could afford without financing, and that's the best we could do. Nice to have a vacation spot where one doesn't have to worry about a mortgate payment.
